what is micro short films?

Micro Short Films creates opportunities for meaningful professional networking through hands-on filmmaking experiences. Focused on the production of very short no/low-budget films, the initiative unites primarily BAFTA members to collaborate and forge lasting connections. By emphasizing action over talk, Micro Short Films has produced a diverse array of award-winning films and continues to strengthen the film industry from within.

how does it work?

Subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated. If you're eligible*, you'll receive an invitation to our next activity. Follow the link in the invitation to fill out the activity form, which helps us understand your skills, interests, and availability.

step 2

get in a group

Micro Short Films forms groups based on the compatibility of skills and interests. You'll be notified once you've been grouped.

step 3

meet/create

This is where the magic happens: you'll meet your crew-mates and collaborate on a short film. It's your opportunity to forge meaningful, lasting professional connections.
