General Terms & Conditions
1. Definition of Terms
In this document, "Participant" refers to an individual involved in a Micro Short Films (MSF) project. "Event" refers to a specific MSF project or round. "Micro Short Films" or "MSF" refers to the organization facilitating the projects.
2. Objectives and Scope
MSF aims to facilitate networking through the collaborative creation of micro short films based on thematic rounds.
3. Eligibility
Participation is mainly for current BAFTA/BAFTA Connect members. Roles in lower demand may be filled by other industry professionals.
4. Application Steps
Prospective participants must follow the outlined application process, which may include obtaining a ticket, agreeing to these T&Cs, and completing a compatibility form.
5. Role Assignment
Roles are assigned based on participants' main roles and preferences.
6. Group Formation
Participants will be placed into groups with the aim of creating balanced and compatible teams.
7. Event Schedule
Participants are expected to adhere to the timeline of each round of MSF.
8. Resource Allocation
All groups operate on a low/no budget basis. Each group is responsible for securing their own resources.
9. Group Meetings
Participants are expected to attend all group meetings, even when their specific role is not directly involved.
10. Networking
Networking is a crucial aspect of MSF, and participants should not hinder others from building connections.
11. Pre-Existing Works
MSF is not a platform for developing pre-existing works, such as scripts already written.
12. Completion of Project
All participants must commit to seeing the project through to its completion.
13. Non-Discrimination
Any form of discrimination is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate dismissal.
14. Harassment Policy
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated and may lead to disqualification.
15. Intellectual Property
The intellectual property rights for all produced materials belong to group members in equal parts unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by all group members. MSF reserves the right to organize screenings of the participant's films or to submit them to film festivals.
16. Donations
The organization is carried out by volunteers, and the MSF team covers all expenses. Therefore, donations to support the initiative are highly encouraged and will help improve our services.
17. Ticket Availability
Tickets for each role are limited and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
18. Modifications to Terms
MSF reserves the right to modify these terms and will notify participants accordingly.
19. Dispute Resolution
Disputes that cannot be resolved within the group are strongly discouraged from being elevated to MSF. Resolution should be sought within the group.
20. Termination
Failure to abide by these terms may result in termination of your participation in current and future MSF events.
21. Data Protection
Personal data provided during the application will be handled in compliance with data protection regulations.
22. Event Cancellation
In the event of cancellation, MSF will communicate promptly with all participants to discuss next steps.
23. Liability Limitations
MSF and Giovanni Rotondo are not liable for any accidents or damages incurred during the project.
24. No Affiliation with BAFTA
Micro Short Films is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with BAFTA.
